Professional results come naturally from the process of studying this lifelong craft and preparing and executing various shoots.  I am humble, dedicated and have a passion for photography that I want to display through my work.

Photography Bio:  I discovered photography when I was 15 years old.  I found that photography is a great way to be heard, whether the images have an underlying meaning, tell a story, or are simply interesting to view.  Upon starting college I started studying on a more practical plane, but my heart led me back to my true calling.  While studying at the University of Kansas, I was a staff photographer for the University Daily Kansan.

My career in photography has and will challenge me every day in many ways; physically, mentally, ethically and I believe it to be the best vehicle to allow me to continue seeing and experiencing life at its fullest.

  Defining moments in my life:

Traveling to Europe alone when I was 20 years old.

Being a part of the most dynamic team effort I've ever witnessed; soccer at the University of Kansas in fall of 2003.

Travel; in particular driving west across the U.S.  The journey is meaningful to me and the changing landscapes provide a sense of  natural beauty and embody the feeling of freedom.

Developing and appreciating meaningful relationships in my life; I owe the world to my family and friends.

Making the effort to leave behind the habits and desires that cling to luxuries, comforts, and material possessions that can impair personal growth and understanding of oneself and the world around us.

Jack London:

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."
